Preliminary task

For our preliminary task we tried to use film rules and techniques to film and edit a scene of a conversation between two people involving a prop which we had been given. We had to use the 180 degree rule which is when the characters can only be filmed from one 'half' so that it isn't confusing for the viewer and where they're looking from is clear. As well we had to use match on action which is when the editor cuts from one shot to another view that matches the first shot's action. We did this by showing our actor walking through the door from both behind and then inside which created a sense of continuity.
